Debt Free Service and Affording Amounting Debt Problems, Stress and Worry

Becoming debt free must feel like a dream coming true for some people. It is possible now, due to all the debt services, debt management plans, loan and debt consolidation companies. A number of these service are great in the way they help people get out of debt by getting creditors to cut or even freeze interest.

One of our recent cases involved a young 19 year old girl from Cork. She had done what a awful lot of young girls do these days. She got a rise at work, so went out to treat herself (and why not?), she got roped in to applying for a store cards for her favourite high street store. She bought a few extra things and thought theirs no harm in it. But this is how it all starts. A few more item are put on the store card for a Saturday night and before she knew it the card has a couple of thousand euros on it and she was paying a little bit of interest every month.

Then she found herself chasing the interest and she just couldn’t seem to afford to go out at weekends, have a meal with friends etc and then the card total had risen to nearly four grand. So then she applied for a low interest credit card to do a balance transfer, which again will cost you around 10% of what is on the card. The fees for the balance transfer is just on the card and then she found herself in exactly that place. A vicious circle.

The young girl from cork did eventually get in touch with us and we were able to get the interest reduced so she was able to afford the tailor made repayment scheme and she’s now a couple of months from being debt free.

It is that easy, trust me I’ve done it myself. But I won’t ever again.
