Is the repossession bank ban helping?

Back in February the banks and building societies were banned for at least a year before moving to repossess peoples homes.

Over 6000 people are being treatened with having their homes taken from them and being evicted, as some haven’t made a mortgage payment for a year or more.

A number as high as 26,000 haven’t paid there mortage for three months or more. Figures released by the Financial Regulator recently.

This break is a lifeline for people struggling with mortgage and debt payments. The next 12 months is going to be very important for these people. A chance to find there feet and hopefully find jobs.

So many couples that would both normally work a full time job are finding themselves lucky that one of them are working. These people that have been unlucky with redundancy will be hoping for a better next 12 months.

The ban on the repossession is obviously helping because people aren’t being evicted from their homes, but are these people making enough effort to find new jobs. And not just new jobs in their own industry.

A friend of mine was really struggling finding any jobs in his industry he’d known his whole career. But after a lot of hard work and plenty of time online browsing the internet he learnt a new part of the industry he knew so much about and gave himself more of a chance getting a new job. And it did, it paid off. He had slightly branched away from his known industry but had learnt enough online to impress at the interview.

Some people just think that all the job sites are it for help in getting jobs. There is no reason you couldn’t learn a whole new trade online. There is a lot of information online, so make sure you use it to help us all through this recession.
